    • At any time, individuals since 13 years old or older are/were in foster care such as placed with a person or family to be cared for usually by local welfare services or by court order, or
    • At any time, individuals since 13 years old or older are/were a dependent of the court.

  • nsoro Foundation Pre-Collegiate Programs - CARE is excited to offer the nsoro Foundation Pre-Collegiate Program Summer 2017.  This program is designed for rising sophomores and juniors currently in foster care.  Summer Camp 2017 will take place July 10-14, 2017.  Click here for more information.     For those who desire to come to KSU and qualify for CARE Services, we call them our Future Owls!  CARE Services works with students as they decide, apply and matriculate into KSU and then continue providing supportive care once enrolled. Interested persons and/or their advocates please contact the CARE Services Director, Marcy Stidum, at mstidum@kennesaw.edu for more information.

    We hope to work with the Multi-Agency Alliance for Children to see what additional support can be brought to the KSU campus to help our current and former Foster Care students flourish at KSU!

  • The Homelessness Awareness 20/4/1 Endowed Scholarship was established to provide assistance to make a positive difference in the life of one individual who is homeless or has been homeless at one time in their life. Undergraduate students must be enrolled full or part time, degree seeking, minimum GPA of 2.6 and have financial need verified by the Financial Aid office.

    Dr. Bruce Thomason Memorial Scholarship The Dr. Bruce Thomason Memorial Scholarship to memorialize Dr. Bruce Thomason and provide assistance to full time or part time undergraduate students with a minimum GPA of 2.50 who receive services from CARE.

    Andre Schnabl and Denny Marcus Endowed Scholarship is to provide financial support to students enrolled at Kennesaw State University who receive services from CARE.

    The nsoro Academic Scholarship awards from $1,000 – $10,000 per academic year and are renewable for up to five years if a student remains eligible.
